• Hi, I have installed and setup your great app but I note that we get emails from Wordfence notifying us of failed attempts. Does this mean Limit Login Attempts is not actually working and Wordfence is instead?

I have set login attempts on your app to 2 retries (no one ever needs access other then me and my developer) but I note that the emails we get from Wordfence say:- “Exceeded the maximum number of login failures which is: 5. The last username they tried to sign in with was: ‘admin’. The duration of the lockout is 2 days.”

Does this mean that their app ( and their standard 5 tries) has overridden your app and my input of 2 tries?

Thanks for clearing this up for me.

    Chris

Yes, this means Wordfence is being used instead of LLAR. You might try to turn this functionality of Wordfence off and check again. From our side, we’ll test it too and see if we are able to duplicate this behavior and figure out a way to make it compatible.

Hello and thanks for your fast reply.

It seems that I cannot isolate this feature in Wordfence to turn it off. I have re-set theirs to be 2 attempts and I will monitor it over the next few days.

    Cheers

    Chris
