• When I try to change the password for an Administrator level user using the Set New Password button it generates and shows me the new password but does not actually change it for the user. The user’s previous password still works.

    I’m using WordPress version 5.6.4.

Hm, I can’t reproduce this issue.
I’m sorry, but I have to ask this question just to be sure.
Are you sure you are clicking on the “Update User” button at the bottom of the page after you change password for a user?
Do you see “User updated” notification at the top the page when the page gets reloaded?

Yes, I am clicking “Update User” after generating the new password, and I do see the “User updated” notification at the top.

@mattocmp I’ve tried to reproduce it again and it changes the password every time.
Do you have any plugins installed?
