Set multiple featured images to a single post depending on category

Hi. I’ve scoured Google and the forums but have not found any resources or plugins to help me. I’m looking to see if there is a plugin that would allow me to select multiple featured images for a single post or portfolio item that belongs in multiple categories.

For Example;
Portfolio Item “TableA” is assigned to two or more categories such as “Coffee Tables” and “Living Room” and contains images of both the coffee table alone, and of it in a larger shot of a living room. I’d like to be able to set the featured image for “TableA” to be one photo when someone sees the TableA item within the “Coffee Tables” category, and a second photo when someone sees the same TableA item but from within the “Living Room” category.

All i’ve found is how to set default featured images for each category (which would apply to all posts or portfolio items within that category, if they don’t have their own individual featured image), which is not what i’m looking for.

Any help would be appreciated
