Set link to event’s map to open in new window

  • Hello!
    I’d like to set the event’s map to open in a new window. Is it possible? If so, how can I do this?

    Thanks in advance for any help you may give me and keep up the good work, this plugin works like a charm and I’ve been able to do great things with it!

    You’d have to add custom JS to force those links to open in a new window. But I strongly suggest you not do this; opening links in a new window is an accessibility problem that can create problems for a wide variety of users.

    I didn’t think about accessibility problems, so thank you for your advice!
    Would it be possible to add the map itself in the event descriptio instead of the link that lead to it, instead?

    Yes, that’s certainly possible. You’ll need to get a Google Maps API key and enter it in the My Calendar Settings, then enable the embedded Google Maps.

    Hi Joe!
    So sorry for the late reply, I’ve been unwell thanks to this crazy weather we had this past days.
    Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve successfully embedded the map and that everything’s working just fine!

    Also, I found the {map} in the My Calendar Help page only; may I suggest you add it in the list of usable tags in the Template Editor page, too?
