I see TT3 has a bunch of templates like Home, 404, Index, etc.

However when I try to set up a template for a page, the dropdown menu only shows: Blog, Default, Empty and there is no sign of other TT3 templates

    Hey @theart8 – well spotted.

Many of the templates within themes (like TT3) are ones used by default on certain pages, and can’t be selected for specific pages. Ones like Home, 404, index, archive etc – are examples of these.

This means the options you’re seeing are correct. You can also add your own new page templates which would be selectable there.

From your question – it sounds as though you’d like the layout from one of those specific templates to be used in your page – is that right?

Well ok, so if I go to edit Home template and I remove the title, I expect that on my page that has been selected as home of the website, should have the h1 title removed. But this is not the case

    Hi @theart8

Thanks for explaining – that really helps.

The thing with the ‘Home’ template is that it is used when your site has an automatic homepage – ie. When it is set to show the latest posts, rather than a static page.

If you have set up your own ‘Home’ page – and have that set to be used at the front of the site – it will still be using the general ‘Page’ template.
