How can I use an external page as the Terms and Conditions Page? The only option here is a drop-down menu showing WP content.

    Hey @geoffau,

Thank you for reaching out! Currently, you can only set a page from your WordPress site as the terms and conditions page. I’m afraid that we do not have any way of setting an external one at the moment.

Even so, can you please let me know why you’d like to set an external page? I’d like to add your thoughts to our development log for more research into this aspect.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai

    Hi Mihai,

Yes, I can explain my reasoning. The content for my website has been done in Joomla on the main root domain of the website and I am using WordPress for the online store with WooCommerce on a subdomain for the shop and SliceWP for the shop’s affiliate program. So the terms of service page article is not a WordPress article, it is an external article on another part of our site.

What I have done to solve this as best I can is create a WordPress article with the links to all the official documentation such as terms of service, privacy, shipping etc and use that article as the SliceWP terms of service page but this is not an elegant solution, it would be a lot tidier to link directly to that content, wherever it is on the website.

I hope that gives you a good explanation to put to the dev log, The suggestion here is to allow the terms and conditions to be any URL and not only selected for the list of WordPress pages and articles.

    Hey @geoffau,

Thank you for all of this feedback! It’s much appreciated. I’ve added it to our development log for more research.

From looking at our logs, it seems like you’re the first to ask for this particular feature, so I’m not really sure how quickly this feature will be shipped.

Also, the implementation may be done via a code snippet, instead of from the interface. As the feature was not requested so far, most probably we will not be touching the admin interface, as we want to keep it as easy to use as possible.

If you can get back to me in a few weeks, I may be able to offer you a code snippet once we add the needed code in SliceWP’s core files.

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Mihai
