set dimension for custom taxonomy

Hello,

I would like to add a custom dimension for a custom taxonomy we have (not Categories), is there a filter or way to specify what taxonomies should be available to track? (A pointer to documentation would be great, I tried to find it and haven’t come up with anything yet.)
