    Hi!
Is it possible to link cart to a user account that never expires?

I need it to allow users to add different items whenever they want and then order them maybe all at once. Even in months later.
Also in this way they can find their cart wherever they log in (mobile or desktop, for example). As it happens on Amazon, for example.

I don’t have any idea on how to test this in the long term, so maybe this is already a default function.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

WooCommerce by default attaches the cart items, to the logged-in users. You can try to add products to the cart, as a logged-in user, and after that, you can log out from your account and try to visit the cart page. You will see the different items on the cart page.

Please give it a try, and let me know how it goes!

    Hi Daniel,
Thank you for the fast response!

I know that the cart is attached to logged-in users and that’s great.

I was wondering if those attached cart has an expiring date, since I need them to never expire or change automatically (except for out of stock items, I guess).
Is this how it works or the logged-in users’ cart expire after specific time?

    Thank you

    Hey @cobrains

By default, customer and cart sessions in WooCommerce are cleared after 48 hours of inactivity.

To get more control of the cart sessions I would recommend the Clear Cart and Sessions for WooCommerce extension. check to see if it is something you can consider and create a presales ticket with us if you have any questions about it.
    Hope this helps!

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. Hopefully, the above info was helpful.
