Set a porcent to use mercadopago

Hi! Mercadopago cost 6% of the total, can i set a 12% to the total of the ship?
In past i set it with a variable $total = $total + $total * 12 / 100 to set a 12% of interest.
How can i do this? 6% is to much!!
