Session option (global setting) preventing pop-up from appearing

  • We have popup with fancybox configured to occasionally display messages on our homepage. A widget is added to the footer as we don’t use sidebars. The widget is set to display GROUP1 pop-ups. The problem is with session option. If set to “YES”, it’s supposed to display one per session. However, this prevents the pop-up from ever displaying even once. We currently have no choice but to set session option to “NO”, and have it appear each time a person navigates to the home page. Any insight to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.
