Hi is this happening while you are logged in as an admin? Which browser did you use? Did you try other browsers? Are you using one of the Brute Force feature?

    Hi, thanks for replying.

This happens when not logging out and revisiting after a day or so. It should be redirecting to the custom login page set in ‘Rename Login Page’.

Enable Rename Login Page feature is enabled. Login Page URL is set. Havent tried any other browsers, I’m using Chrome.

    Many thanks

Okay, let me see if I understand correctly. You log into your website and you never log out and simply close the browser. One or two days later you decide to revisit your website using the same browser. That is when it decides not to redirect, is that correct?

    That’s correct.

Okay that is probably your session timing out or running out of time. You should never close the browser without loggin out of WordPress first. If you do, you should clear the browser cache before you try to log in again.

Hi–I’m experiencing this as well. Although I agree that one should never close a browser without logging out I cannot control how my users behave.

We have enabled the “Rename Login Page” feature and have set sessions to expire after XX amount of time. When a session does expire there are times when we receive the same “403 Forbidden” error that bramroos mentioned.

    “Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-login.php on this server.”

Is there a setting to send the user to a custom page rather than receive the 403 error?

This happens for ALL user accounts. This happens in ALL browsers.
