• Hi,

We are planning to purchase this plugin and implement the following set up:
    – Offload to S3
    – Serve via Cloudflare CDN

Currently, we have been using Smush to optimize the uploaded images. However, we would like to be able to serve images in WebP where permitted AND generate + serve the images responsively.

What would the best set up for this be and how can we achieve this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi there,

WP Offload Media Support Team here, Thanks for reaching out with your query we would be happy to assist

When it comes to WebP images, we recommend EWWW Image optimizer. We continuously test our product with theirs, and we’ve also written a tutorial on how to get up and running with WebP images and EWWW:

Thank you for the quick response. An would we be able to server all of our old images that we are going to offload to S3 + Cloudflare?

Do you know if EWWW will also fall back to JPG if WebP is not supported?

Does EWWW offer responsive image delivery via the offloaded set up we plan to have?

    Hi @mintmedia,

“An would we be able to server all of our old images that we are going to offload to S3 + Cloudflare?”
    — If you are going to upgrade to the Pro version of the plugin, then yes, it’s possible to offload old/existing images to your S3 bucket and serve them from there.

“Do you know if EWWW will also fall back to JPG if WebP is not supported?”
    — Unfortunately we are not sure about this. You may have to contact their support team about this issue.

“Does EWWW offer responsive image delivery via the offloaded set up we plan to have?”
    — It might be best to contact EWWW’s support team about this as well.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
