    In which context?

Any context. I’ve seen a section in which I nominate pages to be service pages. What purpose do they serve? Is it for incoming queries from the public, or is it to feed other pages? Thanks

What porpose do they serve? It depends 100% on what the service that you are going to provide actually is. There’s no way for us ot be able to tell you. YOU need to know what the service is before you can provide it.

Ah, so service page is merely a template describing what you supply? It has no special purpose within the website?
We are builders. In that case, I assume we just nominate the home page as the service page. Why would I nominate a 2nd service page? Presumably if we were offering a separate, distinct service?

It may be, but it doesn’t have to be. There’s no standard definiition of a “service” page. So far I’ve heard 4 different explanations for what differnt people think that it is, so there’s no guarantee that you you think it is is what someone else thinks that it is. Like I said, it’s all about what YOU decide you want it to be.
