Server upgrading from 5.2.x to 5.3.x

  • My hosting company is upgrading the PHP version from 5.2.x to 5.3.x and I was just wondering if that is going to cause any issues with my sites. Right now I have installs from version 2.7.1 all the way to current.

    I found that the minimun for 2.7.1 was 5.2.4 so it seems like it should be ok, but I was just curios if anyone has had any issues with this type of situation.

  • I’m running many WP 3.3.1 sites on PHP 5.3 without any problems.

    Yeah, i figured it would be ok if you started out using PHP 5.3+, but what I am most interested in is if anyone has made that transition from PHP 5.2.x to 5.3.x unscathed.

    I almost certainly did in the past but – again – no problems. That said, I didn’t have anything as old as 2.7.1 on the server(s).
