After upgrading to the latest version of this plugin, we had previously been testing this plugin on our dev site so our Brightcove account information was already configured. I was attempting to go to the Brightcove Video Connect > Settings page and instead I get a 502 error.

I tried a local dev environment, just WP and BVC plugin and connected to our Brightcove account. After connecting to our account it takes about 3 – 4 minutes, while working in the dashboard, to load any page.

The server timeouts or really long page load times happen once connected to your Brightcove Account and this not only effects the plugin pages, but also any resources that also have the Brightcove button as well, so pages, posts, CPTs.

A similar thing has been happening to a website I am working on. The server started crashing on a regular basis, and then the whole wordpress admin panel started taking a very long time to do anything. It would open to the dashboard if you waited a minute or so, and then would take long enough I gave up waiting to access anything else (several minutes).

Everything online said to deactivate all your plugins and reactivate one a t a time to see if that is the problem. Brightcove is where it slowed down every time. I have left it deactivated now, but I still need to play videos from Brightcove. Help!

Thanks for the reports. This is something we are actively working to solve and we hope to have a fix out soon.
