I’d like to install Sensei LMS to get some online courses up and running. What server size would be needed for a site with 100-150 concurrent users? Is AWS a good choice to host the installation or would I need something custom tailored like WPEngine?

I’m worried about some reviews I found online stating that WordPress LMS plugins need lots of resources to run smoothly, so that most server configurations wouldn’t be able to handle the demands on the system after a few dozens concurrent users.

    Thanks

We can’t give an exact figure for server load per user, so it’s hard to say what kind of server configuration you would need, but Sensei LMS shouldn’t use any more resources than if you had 150 people logged into your site doing any other concurrent tasks. So your best bet is probably to contact a hosting provider and ask their advice on what you would need based on your expected traffic.

AWS should work fine, but if you’re not comfortable managing your own server, you may want to look at a managed hosting provider instead.
