Hello, we are having an error described by others earlier.

We cannot access the statistics dashboard and also the settings of your plugin.

    Developer tools state these errors:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()
    wp-json/burst/v1/fields/get?false&nonce=7faed666f6:1

Uncaught (in promise) Error: Request failed with status code 403

    index.js?ver=c75a27a0c910c31b9804:1

We did not install any new plugins. Also tried deactivating W3 Total Cache. Did not work.

    What can we do?

I did further testing and figured the error is caused by a plugin with Theme Elements for Elementor.

The problem is, we cannot leave this plugin deactivated because it will destroy the look of the website on frontend.

    Hi @lwup,

I think something went wrong with the capabilities. Did you upgrade from an ‘old’ version to the latest?

We use a custom capability: ‘manage_burst_statistics’ & ‘view_burst_statistics’. Can you check if the user has those capabilities? If not, can you add You can check and change the capabilities using a plugin.

If I need to assist you let me know.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hi @lwup,

Sorry, ignore my message above. I did not see your follow up message.

Can you share an URL to that elementor plugin? I’d like to try and replicate the issue.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hi Hessel,
the plugin is called TheGem Blocks (for Elementor) and comes with the theme “TheGem”. Unfortuneatly, I think you cannot find it in the plugin search.

    Hi @lwup,

I’m sorry to say, but unfortunately, I can’t help you any further. Maybe you could contact the creators of TheGem and see if they can help.

It seems like they change some stuff in the REST API. Other plugins could also suffer from this.

Again sorry that I can’t help any further.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hi there Hessel and lwup,

    Thank you!

    Kind Regards,
    Felix

    Hi @felix55,

There is not an update on this issue. But we are working on a new version of Burst that uses admin-ajax as a fallback when the REST API gives an error. I don’t have an exact date on when this will be released, but I hope and think somewhere in the coming month.

We will do our best to release it earlier. I’ll try to give an update to this thread when released.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hi there,

thank you for the rapid answer!
I’m looking forward to using it ??
