server overload with multiple requests to homepage

  • I have tested the plugin and I have noticed that the server receives multiple requests to the home page while the developer tools remains activated, is this normal? Is this a necessary overhead for the server? This would cause a deviation in the statistics of my website or even a blocking of the hosting provider.

    Does this happen only to me or is it a necessary operation?

    It’s embarrassing but it was my mistake. In my functions.php file I had a redirect from the 404 page to the home page. Once the redirect is removed the plugin works perfectly.
