"Server not found" error please help

  • “Server not found” error please help

    I have reviewed most of the discussions and post here on this WordPress support forum but I have not found anyone with the same issue.

    My hosting company is Godaddy and they are hosting two of my websites. One is a subdomain of the other.

    Problem: When I try to browse to my website (subdomain) I get this message “Server not found” error, the strange thing is it’s very intermittent. It happens several times during the day for about 1-2 mins and then it self corrects itself.

    It only effects my website and not any other websites during my browsing experience. I’ve tried many different browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) and they all produce the same results.

    I have spoken to Godaddy’s tech team and they have run diagnostics without any problems.
    The theme developer says that this is a server issue. Both are kind of pointing the finger at each other.

    Has anyone experience this issue or have any suggestions. Thank you!

    Yeah, I’m sorry GoDaddy is giving you the run-around.

    “Server not found” means exactly what it says, the server cannot be reached by your browser. This is not a WordPress issue, this is strictly a hosting issue.

    Try GoDaddy again, and perhaps this time you will get someone who will look further into the issue.
