Server name

  • Hi,

    Can someone tell me what the server name is for wordpress so that I can move forward with FileZilla and get themes?

    I understand that I don’t find themes with Filezilla. If someone could just tell me what the server name is, I’d be grateful. Thanks.

    There’s no ftp server name for the theme repository.

    Perhaps I am asking the wrong question. I would like to know what I need to put into Filezilla for host name, user name and password. I’d also like to know how to work the “remote site” part of the page as it says “not connected to server.”

    You need to input the details for your FTP server.

    Normally* for host name it would be ftp(dot)yourwebsite(dot)com

    User name is what you use to sign into your hosted account.
    Password is the password you use to sign into your hosted account

    *Some hosts are different. Check with your host for ftp settings.
