    Hello,

We’re using Yoast SEO in our website that has a HUGE database. It has about 13,000 posts and about 3 to 5 times the number of published posts for post revisions. That’s about 65,000 to 70,000 posts.

Everytime we update Yoast SEO the server goes down for about 5 to 10 minutes, with the load going up from 0.8-1.5 to 40-80, and memory usage filling up full, so the machine is swapping like crazy at that time.

Of course the site goes down during that period and some times we have to shutdown apache for a few minutes so the server will settle down and start it again. As I said, after a few minutes everything seems to work as usual, but I can’t understand what’s causing the server load after the update.

Anyone else has this bizarre behavior?
