When I try to update the plugin, I get a error page “server error 500”.

In the log file, I find the following error message: PHP Warning: include(/home/…/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/class.pack.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/…/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 22

Any ideas what could cause this error?
    Thanks, Christoph

Looks like the files is not update properly, delete old version, install latest version and activate.

    Same here. “Server error 500”
Causing lots of problems with our sites using your plugin.

Already followed your instruction i.e. delete, re-install and activated. However the following problem appears:
“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/*****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 12″

    Please investigate this issue.

Apologies for my strong words. Your plugin was useful and easy to use. However causing frustration after version 2.8.3. I can’t upgrade it to the latest version (2.8.9) as it’s causing Server Error 500. This is the only plugin not yet updated to their latest version. I suspect it also contributes to security issues as one of my sites was recently being hacked, despite firewalls and applying security best practices.

    Thanks.

In my case, the error has something to do with the theme I’m using (politician theme from themeforest). However – I haven’t found out what exactly causes the trouble.
