    Realtors are busy people and dont have time to monitor their websites 24/7. The IDX
    outages on the WordPress IDX are becoming more and more often. This
    has been happening for a long time, there’s not excuse for it. zillow.com ,
    yahoo.com and trulia.com are never down. Every outage causes the
    thousands of realtors websites serviced by Diverse Solutions to suffer
    considerably in terms of Search Engine Optimization and visitor loyalty.
    Zillow knows this very well since is the core of their zillow.com business
    model.

    The outages is not one or two hours, we are talking constant
    outages that last longer than 24 hours, for days in many cases,several
    times a month , every week. You only have access to support week days
    during business days ?on business hours, nobody takes care all they say
    is the engineers are working on it.Every time that Diverse Solutions has a
    long outage it causes a dis-indexing?problem . The IDX competition from
    Wordpress IDX to?zillow.com and trulia.com evaporates . This is a huge
    conflict of interest that FTC needs to look into. Thousands of well ranked
    idx pages could compete with zillow.com on property addresses and mls
    numbers searches, with these weekly failures there will be not such
    indexing. Regardless of what Yahoo Zillow Divervese Solutions would say
    there’s a direct effect from these outages, a fine line line between bad
    intentions, technical difficulties and negligence needs to be clarified .

    The lack of accountability on Diverse Solutions service to Realtors is getting to
    an end. An awareness and alerting process is starting with all boards?,
    realtors and consumers.
    If Yahoo Zillow Diverse Solutions lacks the capacity to provide a reliable server for the IDX data, they should put a big warning on the Diverse Solutions website stating that WordPress IDX ?is very unstable product with many failures , that the data will be down very
    often sometimes intermittent, that those major and frequent server failures will cause the realtors to show a blank page with a “We’re sorry, but we ran into a temporary problem while
    trying to load the account data. “Please check back soon.” message, and
    the search engine indexing will be very low with these frequent failures
    and outages. That when the servers are up many intermittent failures will
    happen and some listings won’t show and searches will result in blank
    pages. That speed is ?a factor in Search Engine ranking and when the
    servers are ?up WordPress IDX ?is the slowest of all IDX Solutions in the
    market.

    WordPress IDX plugin is one of the best IDX products in the
    market, but with the outages turns any benefit to realtors into a SEO killing
    machine and zero visitors.

    Zillow and Yahoo need to drop Diverse
    Solutions if they don’t have the capability to provide a reliable services to
    realtors. Strange thing to happen when Yahoo and Zillow run some very
    powerful servers on their sites.

    A forensic audit is needed on Diverse
    Solutions from all Realtor Boards in the United States, Diverse Solutions
    employees need to be interviewed. Diverse Solutions employees need to
    understand that the IDX data comes from the MLS, it is the MLS and the
    Realtor Board who owns the IDX data. When clients sign a listing contract
    with a realtor and they choose the IDX option?to show theirs properties
    and propagate through all members IDX sites they are?expecting their
    properties on reliable services provided by IDX vendors to Realtors. They
    expect a reliable service.

    Zillow and Yahoo owe the realtors fast
    servers that are up and running 24/7 like they do on the yahoo trulia and
    zillow websites servers. Same powerful servers that they use in
    their core sites.

    If this is proven that is done intentionally by Diverse
    Solutions employees and a whistleblower ?comes out , the repercussions
    could go beyond civil liability.

    It is time for Divervse Solutions employees
    to raise their voice along with realtors, boards , mls, sellers who rely on
    IDX against the unfair practices of having servers underpowered and
    constant outages and other potential unfair practices.

    False advertising needs to stop.

    The damaged is huge, less exposures to properties on the
    internet, less potential to sell, losses to sellers and realtors, brokers and
    board

    Diverse Solutions needs to have ?a monitoring system, it is
    unacceptable the weekend outages and overnights outages when
    everybody is sleeping.

    Diverse Solutions is the only IDX solution with
    these constant outages.

    Zillow should reimburse realtors and sellers for all
    the losses caused by Diverse Solutions negligence to say the least. ?Have
    these down times caused people to skip properties and for realtors to
    loose potential leads and visitors to migrate to other sites including
    zillow.com and trulia.com? the answer is yes

    There’s a lot of explanation
    Zillow Yahoo group owes the realtors and the general public. It needs to
    be proven Diverse Solution is not a scam.

    Zillow.com, trulia.com ,
    hotpads.com, yahoo.com and the other company sites are never down. Is
    it just a coincidence that Diverse Solutions WordPress IDX?plugin data is
    when is not down is extremely slow or intermittent?

    Probably
    a?whistleblower could clarify many of these questions and more.

    This war on realtors websites from Yahoo Zillow Diverse Solutions against realtors
    websites has reached a new level this month of February 2016. A whole
    week with the service down, it is ridiculous. Have you ever heard of
    Zillow.com or yahoo.com down for a whole week? It is time to stop it an
    alert everybody.

    What would have happen if zillow.com and?trulia.com sites
    are routenily down? if you try a search and instead of properties you get
    blank pages with messages saying the site is down? They would have
    been out of business long time ago. There’s not justification not to provide
    the same fast 100% server uptime to the realtors IDX, it is inexcusable.?

    Zillow bought the best IDX solution available to Realtors in 2011. Adding
    links back to listings at zillow.com from all the realtors websites was a link
    building that helped zillow rank ?the top of ?google. Every single listing
    page on every single realtor using DSIDXPRESS plugin linking back to
    the property page on zillow.com was a SEO strategy ?that only benefited
    zillow.com.

    Shutting down the servers regularly , blaming it on technical
    difficulties , doing it periodically counting on realtors not monitoring their
    sites all the time, seems like a strategy designed to have the realtor
    websites at the bottom of google search and zillow.com at the top. The
    boards and regulators haven’t paid attention to this acquisition by zillow.

  • Lindsay from Diverse Solutions here. Gathering feeds from hundreds of sources is not a simple thing to do. We take pride in our product, and do everything possible to ensure it works as intended. Your accusations that we intentionally create downtime, have “bad intentions” and are negligent are, to be brutally honest, absurd.

    I must say, I’m experiencing Diverse Solutions server downtimes as well, but it’s usually only for short periods of time. I understand, sometimes this is beyond the control of DS but other times, I’m not so sure.

    Regardless, my biggest concern is Google Bots reporting these crawler errors and possibly hurting my sites rankings. There has been an increase in errors in my Google search console over the last couple months.

    There’s not much any of us can do about this and I’m betting other idx providers have the same problems. I do plan to monitor some other sites using other providers and see if I can notice the same issues.

    In the end, DS has always been very responsive to my support inquiries and I really do appreciate it. Sometimes, the problem is of my own making, and when it is, they are still willing to provide some direction and advice.
