Hi, I have a strange problem. When trying to save the wizard my values don’t get saved. I get the error message “Connection to the server lost. Please try reloading this page.” When reloading I do not get any error. When walking trough the whole wizard, I do not get any errors anymore, but no values seem to be saved. And the consent banner is not being displayed.

In the dashboard I also see an error that there is probably no connection to the REST API. I have tried everything – deactivated all other plugins, enabled the WP_DEBUG function, nothing seems to work and no detailed error information is shown.

I am using the latest version 7.0.4 on WordPress 6.5.2.

The weird thing is that on a different site with the same WordPress version and Complianz version, everything works fine.

Do you have any more ideas of what could be the problem or how to debug this more?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @imdapaolo,

An issue with the REST API would seem to be the most-likely explanation, whereby the plugin can’t save the settings anymore as a result.

As you do not experience this issue on a site with a very similar set-up, I would recommend to start by checking which differences there are between those environments, and ruling those out as being potentially related.

Check if the REST API is not being restricted by a security plugin, and whether the issue persists with Complianz as the sole activated plugin, etc. Narrowing down the cause of the issue should ultimately allow you to determine the culprit.

    Kind regards, Jarno
