Hi, So I’ve been getting errors non stop since I started with this plugin, I enabled gd webp to fix the first error. Then it said I needed make it so the htaccess file wouldn’t be ignored and I contacted the server host to set this up. Now I am getting this error and I have no idea what to do.

“Your server uses the cache for HTTP requests. The rules from .htaccess file or from Nginx configuration are not executed every time when the image is loaded, but the last redirect from cache is performed. With each request to image, your server should execute the rules from .htaccess file or from Nginx configuration. Now it only does this the first time and then uses cache. This means that if your server redirected image to WebP format the first time, it does so on every request. It should check the rules from .htaccess file or from Nginx configuration each time during request to image and redirect only when the conditions are met.

If you have enabled caching HTTP reverse proxy or another HTTP caching, you must disable it. Otherwise the plugin cannot work properly. In this case, please contact your server administrator.”

Is this something to do with cloudflare proxy? I’ve now set all of the cloudflare dns to not be proxied and it’s still displaying this error. Or is this another option in cloudflare?

    Thanks

    Hi @patrickallairmedia,

    Thanks for your message.

This is a server configuration problem. In the message, I have provided you with all possible information. I am unable to help you configure your server. If you can see this message, the problem is definitely happening.

If you manage to solve it, please write how you did it – for other users.

Pretty sure its a cloudflare issue. I have this installed on many sites on the same server and I only see this error on the website whos dns is done through cloudflare

I’m guessing there’s no fix for getting this to work through cloudflare?

I also didn’t find a solution to use with CloudFlare, just disabling it. But I’m curious if anyone finds a solution with CloudFlare.
