• I’m pretty sure this is a bug, but I’m not familiar enough with S2Member to be sure that I’m not doing something wrong.

    It’s pretty easy to replicate:

    1) I created a link which allows users to already logged-in users to change their passwords. This link just leads to the standard WP password-reset (“lost password” form. (I use a custom login URL btw).

    2) So now to replicate the error: I log in with any user account. I click the link to change my password. I reset my password using the standard WordPress dialog. WordPress now says that a link has been mailed to my email account. So far so good. Under that there’s a link that says <– Back to (Site Name)

    3) When I click the link, I throw a Server 500 error. The link appears to just be returning to the homepage of the site. I’m already logged in, but now my password has changed of course, so perhaps the error comes from being logged in but having a now incorrect password?

    Any ideas?

Typo: First sentence should read: “1) I created a link which allows already logged-in users to change their passwords.”

Looks like your custom login creates a wrong “back” link.

Krumch — Good thought. But I checked that. The URL of the “Back to ___” link just goes to the homepage with no URL arguments of any kind. It looks like the issue has something to do with changing a password for an already logged-in user. (Typically the lost-password dialog is used for non-logged-in users). At least that’s my best guess.

Still possible link to be “https” instead “http” and you will get 500 error if no HTTPS server…
