Serve scaled images – from Top Post Widget
-
I am trying to increase my website speed and clean out old CSS/plugins that are holding it back. I used GTMetrix and am receiving a score of 0 on “Serve scaled images” with this message:
The following images are resized in HTML or CSS. Serving scaled images could save 435.2KiB (96% reduction).
https://i0.wp.com/www.simplyangella.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/mirador-las-torres-patagonia-towers-hike.jpg?resize=600%2C600&ssl=1 is resized in HTML or CSS from 600×600 to 100×100. Serving a scaled image could save 91.9KiB (97% reduction).
https://i1.wp.com/www.simplyangella.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/shelter-dog-field-trips-6.jpg?resize=600%2C600&ssl=1 is resized in HTML or CSS from 600×600 to 100×100. Serving a scaled image could save 90.4KiB (97% reduction)…….and a few others. I am seeing that these images are linked to my homepage widget that displays my top 9 posts. How can I fix this as the images change as my stats do? I did update to Smush Pro but not sure if there is a setting for that or if it requires CSS?
Thanks in advance! ??
