Sermons no longer playing

    Hi, We’ve used this great plugin for years without problem. A few days ago we switched to a new web host and suddenly our sermons won’t play. The web host says that no WordPress errors are being logged, the files are in the correct locations, and the sermons can be downloaded from that page. We’re using the latest version of the plugin, and the recent “patch” for some fatal error. We’ve already tried reverting to the default WordPress theme and turning off each plugin one by one. The host even tried moving to a different server type (Apache, from Nginx) and it didn’t help. So, we are completely stumped. Any ideas what could be the problem?

    We have just tried playing them, and they work perfectly on our end on your website. (we have tested in latest Chromium browser)

    Does the issue still persist on your end?

    If not, we would love to know how you solved it – so other users can try it out in future.

    Ok, sorry I am taking forever to respond- as you noticed the situation has been resolved.
    It ended up being an issue with our server using Varnish caching and Varnish did not recognize the media file type we were using and wouldn’t play them (it recognized mp3s but not m4as). So we just had to add that file type to the exemption list within Varnish and everything worked perfectly. A super simple solution that took us forever to come up with. ?? hoping it saves someone else a headache.
