Sermon Manager does not use “https” in the enclosure URL in the podcast RSS feed. We’re trying to use Backblaze for hosting the MP3 files, and apparently HTTP doesn’t work.

Is this a simple setting change we’re missing, a bug, or working as intended?

I’ve found a workaround for this issue. I “fixed” it by checking the code and figuring out where it is changing the “HTTPS” to “HTTP”. The culprit is in \views\wpfc-podcast-feed.php on lines 306 and 337. Simply changing “HTTP” to “HTTPS” in these lines resolves the issue. However, this will need to be done every time the plugin is updated.

Would it be possible to have this permanently removed in future updates? I’m guessing at one point HTTPS in podcast streams may not have been supported by some clients, but I think that time is past. In fact, Google Podcasts won’t even play streams on non-HTTPS locations.

I’m having this problem too. It would be great if this change could be made permanent, or at least offer an option to use https:

    Hello,

We have added a new feature to the Podcast tab in the settings menu, which will enable users to choose between using “https://” or “https://” for their enclosure URLs. You can select your preferred option based on your requirements. This feature will be available in the next update.

    Brilliant! Thank you.
