I removed all rows under Settings/Player performance. This resulted in total loss of performance data for all games!

NB There is a SMALL chance that it could come from something else. I have been doing all sorts of things. BUT I would say that this was what caused the data to disappear…

Also, I haven’t tried to replicate this yet. I just wanted to pass the info on, before anyone else does the same thing.

Well, now it is confirmed. Data disappears!
I added a couple of goals to a couple of players in one event, went to Settings/Configure and deleted the row for Goals under Player Performance. Saved and took a look at the event page. No goals there, off course. ?? went back to settings and added the variable for goals back. Updated the event page. The goals column was back but all zeros…

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your feedback.

The data isn’t lost when you delete the Player Performance settings (SportsPress Settings > Configure). Rather, that data will no longer be displayed but will still be attached to the events.

However, if you save an event after the columns have been deleted, the data will be overwritten by the new data (or empty data, if you have no columns).

If you deleted the columns by accident you can add them again using the same variable names and your event performance will reappear, if you haven’t overwritten them.

    Hi!

OK, then I appologize for the, slight, overly dramatic subject of this matter!

But, this, in my eyes, could be a problem. Some kind of warning before deletion would probably be good to add.
I still have not got all performance data back in the tables (In events, not overwritten). I guess I messed up the variables when I reentered them…

    Hi again!

Good idea about displaying a warning message, I’ll add that to our development.

I’m happy to help you restore the original performance variables if it would be useful. For soccer, these are: goals, assists, yellowcards, redcards.

Thanks again for your ongoing feedback, and please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about the plugin ??

You are welcome! And a great job with this plugin back at you!

I have done extensive testing and at this point I have a big list of suggestions, questions and minor, what I think, errors. Right now it covers almost a whole handwritten A4 page. How would you like it delivered? Should I write everything in one post or should I try to divide it to several posts? Or would you like to have it in your inbox? If so, please provide med with an email address.

BTW, thanks for the variables. Although I already got them by installing SportsPress in another WordPress installation. ?? Some data were lost though. Probably used custom variables or something… Anyhow, no big deal. It was only four games.

PS In the new installation, the variable for yellow cards is spelled “yellospards”! Something to look into? DS

    Hi again!

Thank you, I really appreciate your replies. The best way would be to post a separate support topic for each issue/suggestion. This way other users can quickly browse and find the topic they are looking for, and also allows us to mark them as resolved when new updates come out.

I look forward to your further feedback ??

I was afraid you were going to say that! ?? I have prepared the suggestions and issues and will now post them.
