• I will preface this by saying that I turned off ALL other plugins and deleted this plugin (Organize Series) from the server before reinstalling it and it is still broken.

While in the post editor I can create a new series (Foraging Series in this instance). That post will show up correctly in that series.

BUT when I create a new post or update a post to add it to the series (as #2 in series) the series list is completely blank. I have no way of associating the post with the series.

Assuming this cannot be fixed – is there a way to manually tag the post as part of the series? I can see the series number when I inspect the page.

And assuming the screenshots work below – I am showing how I have a series but it is NOT showing up on the post screen:

I really love this plugin and would hate to give it up.

I think I resolved the issue.

I activated a different theme and suddenly the series showed up on the list again.

My current solution was recreating my child theme and then activating it.

The problem came up again when I updated my theme.

I tried switching themes again to see if it worked with my other themes but it did NOT resolve the issue. Turning off my plugins did not help either so nothing is overwriting it.

I really like this plugin but it just does not work.

This isn’t an Organize Series issue but as you discovered something to do with your choice of theme. There’s too little information to know exactly what’s going on but my guess is the theme is hooking into term queries and manipulating the response. The theme is likely not accounting for custom taxonomies correctly.
