• Dear Anmari

I think you’ve done a absolute stunning job in the field of ics integration with wordpress. I am using your plugin to display my jobs as a audio engineer and drummer to my site. the ics i am providing comes from a dav calendar in nextcloud which is convertet to ics with a cron job and then published with your plugin. what bugs me though is the missing ability to search the events in realtime. i am dreaming of something like this: https://tockify.com/ the events (search results) are updatet after every letter i type. wouldn’t that be a great feature? how could this be realised?

    best regards from switzerland

Thank you for your kind words. I’ve noted the thought. It might be possible for those using https://icalevents.com/downloads/amr-events/ where the events are stored in the database like another wp post. There are a number of live search on wp post examples out there.

However for events from an ics file, not so easy. One cannot just index or take one VEVENT from the file. Eg: recurring ones may have a modifying instance later in the file. The whole file has to be parsed, sorted, etc. Currently the plugin does not store those events in the db (no point in adding to db load, the ics url has to always be checked anyway for updates). FOr ics sourced event displays, one could possibly do the equivalent of a Control-F on the page of events.

    Dear Anmari
Thanks for the hint. It would be great to have those events in the wordpress database with your payed plugin. Would it be possible with that version to somehow sync the wp-database/event-posts with outlook or dav-calendar or ics file? I would like to be able to enter a event just once, preferably not in wordpress but in outlook or a mobile device. To acheive this at the moment i am syncing a outlook calendar with https://caldavsynchronizer.org/de/ to a nextcloud dav-calender and then convert the dav-calender with a script/cronjob to a ics which gets published with your plugin.
    Best regards
    Daniel
