Seperate Posts to pages using categories

Hi Guys

Im hoping someone on here can help this would be the first time ive used wordpress so sorry if this has been asked before. I have two blogs on the site one for say News and another for Downloads. I have categories set up for each what i want is for the pages to only display posts relating to the relevant category the post has assigned to it. I have tried the Plugin (List Category Posts) but for the life of me cant get it to only display the category im telling it to.

Any help appreciated as ive spent a fair bit of time trying to get this to work.
