Separating Content by Author
-
Hello,
I had a question about how to separate H5P content by author with your WordPress plugin. I am planning on having employees use the H5P plugin to create interactive content and then use short codes to attach their content to various pages of my site. However, the problem I’m facing is that H5P ID’s are shared amongst authors, such that if one employee pasted /[h5p id=”5″], they would be able to attach the fifth H5P on my WordPress site to one of their pages, regardless of whether or not they actually made it. Since I want to make sure that my employees cannot see or post each other’s content, I need some workaround for this.
Two solutions for this that I was hoping are possible are: 1. Give each employee their own set of IDs for their H5P’s, so that if employee 1 pastes /[h5p id=”1″] it attaches the first H5P that he made, and if employee 2 pastes the same shortcode it would attach the first H5P made by employee 2, not the one by employee 1. And 2. When an author creates an an H5P, randomize its ID to a large number so that the creator could see its ID and attach it via shortcode, but it would be extremely difficult for another employee to guess that ID.
Ideally we can achieve the first solution above, but the second one or any other solution that would ensure that authors cannot see or attach other author’s H5P would suffice. We’re really looking forward to using your plugin!
