Hi. I am using the LearnDash LMS plugin, and I have a need to display a different sidebar on a top-level course. A top-level course has no lessons, it just has a list of
courses that students have to take to be certified in their role. My problem is that I am using the default course template, and I have the course and lesson progress bar widgets in the Main Navigation sidebar in the default template for courses. If I create a custom sidebar without the widgets and apply it to courses, then that sidebar (with no content) appears on all courses, which is not what I need. Is there a way for me to assign a custom sidebar to only one type of course? Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thank you for reporting this.

I also got your DEV Institute support message, and I am glad you got the problem solved!

Would it be possible for you to give a small explanation of how you solved this problem? This might help other users in the same situation in the future.

Hi, thanks for the response. I solved this by adding a tag to the top-level courses. then I created a sidebar and associated it with courses that have that tag. Thanks for the plugin!!

Thank you for elaborating on this, and a smart way of “grouping” courses together like that.
