I know this isn’t an urgent problem, but it is something that has bothered me for a long time!

When going to the ‘Layout’ section in the ‘Page Builder Settings’, you can choose ‘Row/Widget Bottom Margin’, which is set as 30px by default.

It would save an immense amount of hassle and CSS work if the ‘Row’ and ‘Widget’ bottom margins could be set individually, instead of as a single amount.

I regularly want my rows to butt up together with no gaps, but I can’t set this default value to ‘0’ because then any widgets in rows with multiple columns lose their bottom margins too in mobile views.

This means I am either forever manually setting the Row Bottom Margin on every row in every page to ‘0’, or writing complex CSS to add a bottom margin back in for all the widgets.

    Hi Shaun

    Thanks for reaching out.

Have you perhaps tried using the settings available in the Mobile Layout section when editing a row or widget?

    Hi Andrew,

I can obviously do that, or some custom CSS, or even manually add padding to every widget. But my point was, I would rather just have a site-wide setting for BOTH defaults separately so I don’t have to adjust things like this on a ‘per-page’ basis.

Is there any reason why these margins have been combined into one option the settings?

    Hi Shaun

Sorry, I didn’t properly read the subject of this topic.

The mobile bottom margin setting was added quite recently (2.10.7). I don’t think we’ve looked at adding an additional global setting, we can certainly do so. I’ll chat with Alex when I’m back on tomorrow, we’ll get back to you as soon as we’ve taken a look.

Hi Shaun, thanks for the wait. I’ve briefly chatted with Alex about this. I’ve logged and assigned the issue https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-panels/issues/799. We’ll attend within the next couple of weeks as soon as we get a gap.
