• Hi there, again thanks for all the great work on this plugin.

    We are using Product Fields on our products. We have Cloning enabled on the fields because we need the customer to complete the fields for each unit they are purchasing. We have Rules in place to only show these fields on specific products.

    Since cloning is enabled, each quantity is added to the cart as a separate line item, which is perfect.

    However, the challenge we are facing, is that products that DO NOT match the Rules are also being output to the Cart singly. Meaning, if I add 5 of a certain product to the cart, this will show each unit on a separate line item. While this isn’t the end of the world, it is incompatible with things like Dynamic Pricing for Line Item quantity discounts and another extension we use to sell LearnDash Groups.

    Cloning can be enabled on the Product Fields Group page and on the general Settings for WC Fields Factory.

    If we enable the Cloning on the Field Group, the fields are NOT cloned on the Product page when additional quantity is added. Field Cloning ONLY works if the Settings in the General Settings are set to enable cloning, however, this also appears to effect all products on the site even the ones that do not use Fields Factory fields.

    To repeat this:

    1) Set up a product field group with a text field.
    2) Set a Rule for this to display with a specific product.
    3) Enable cloning.
    4) View the product and add 2 quantity. You will notice that the fields are not cloned.
    5) Enable cloning in the Settings of WCFF.
    6) View the product and add 2 quantity. You will that the fields are cloned. Click Add to Cart and view Cart. You will see each item output as a separate line item. This is good!
    7) View a product that does NOT match the Rules in step 2 above. Add 2 quantity then click add to cart. You will see each item output as a separate line item. This is NOT good! Example below:

    Got it, I will fix the issue regarding seperat line item for non mapped products,

    Regarding the Cloning setting, Its been on three levels.

    1. Fields Cloning on the Setting page is the Global Cloning master switch, if it is disabled then no cloning at all.
    2. Cloning.? on the group level controls the cloning for that given groups alone. This is effective only when the Global Cloning option enabled.
    3. Clonable on the field configuration controls the cloning behaviour for that particular fields alone. This is effective only when the Global Cloning as well as group level cloning is enabled.

    I will test the Rules matching to make sure that #7 is resolved. Do you know which version of the plugin this was fixed in? Thanks so much!
