Separate drop downs for parent categories

Hi,

Great plugin! We have a bunch of categories on our site and I’m looking to see what we need to make it so I can create separate filters with the parent categories we have on our site. For example we have a parent “Manufacture” and another parent “Item Type” I’d like to have multiple drop downs for each parent so customers can pick a manufacturer in one drop down and then pick the item type in another drop down.

Do we need the Hierarchy drop-down option to accomplish this?
