• Is there any way to separate out the user creation process from the checkout process?

What I mean is this, right now, the shipping/user account information happens on the same form as the payment information / shipping information / etc.

When I update any of those areas and the page has to refresh, I lose my entered customer information. So, ideally, I’d like the user to press “checkout” on the cart page, be brought to a page to login or create their account/shipping info., and only after that’s done, be brought to a page to update shipping and payment information.

is this possible as is, or with any plugins, that anyone’s aware of?

Shipping information can be different per order – it shouldn’t only be account based.

You can dis-allow guest checkout in the settings if you’d like, then you can allow visitors to create an account on your my account page. But this just creates more friction for checking out.
