    Hello

    We have installed SEOPress free plugin on the website. We are trying to add Meta title & description for the same, however even after adding the description its not reflecting in the front-end.

    We have tried re-installing the plugin and clearing the website and server cache but no luck yet.

    Please let us know if anyone is experiencing the same issue or has any suggestions to resolve the issue?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

    to edit your homepage meta title / description, go to WP admin, SEO, Titles and metas, Home tab.

    Enter your title / description and save changes.

    Then clear your cache.

    This should solve your issue.

    Thank you for the suggestion, however, we have tried these suggestions but it didn’t work. The meta description doesn’t show up in the source of the page neither it is getting read by Google.

    Hi,

    might be a theme issue.

    We can see two meta description now in your source code…

    I’ve been using GeneratePress for over 3 years, probably the most respected cleanest code theme in the industry.

    Bonjour @brock40 et @rainbowgeek,

    I also missed the meta description field when using SEOPress and GeneratePress theme.

    Some plugins generate this information as follows (example from a managed website Royal Flute Academy):

    <meta name="title" content="Royal Flute Academy">
    <meta name="description" content="A friendly platform to help you progress as a flutist!">

    However what I noticed is that SEOPress is generating the meta title and description using Schema JSON LD:

    {"@context":"https:\/\/schema.org","@type":"WebSite","name":"Royal Flute Academy","description":"A friendly platform to help you progress as a flutist!","url":"https:\/\/www.royalfluteacademy.com"}

    @rainbowgeek do you have any documentation about this? Or do you believe there is something to change in the theme we are using?

    Thank you,
    Marcos / Katarzyna
