• I have installed yoast seo last week and it doesn’t recognize any text or image on my homepage.

    The webmaster who has done it used muffin builder betheme and it look like there is some compatibility issue

    I have tried to go on forum but they never explained how to configure properly to make it work.

    can anyone help ?

  • That theme looks like a premium theme, so you’ll need to ask the theme developer to look into this. I would guess that the issue lies with the theme. Yoast SEO plugin is a very popular plugin and used by thousands of themes and works perfectly fine. If anything needs fixing it will be the theme and not the plugin.

    thanks for your reply
    I have looked all week end long so I guess the betheme is the problem
    I can even see on the forum the question has been post

    but I can’t see the response as I don’t have any proof of purchase (website done by a freelance)

    Betheme Has its own “Built In” SEO features. There is a setting under Theme Options/SEO. If you are using Yoast or any other 3rd party SEO plugin you’ll need to Turn of the “Use Built-in fields” option.

    I learnt this the hard way unfortunately!

    @andrew,

    Thanks for pointing that out. But i need to add more to the answer…

    When you’re editing your homepage / any other page’s SEO settings in the Yoast panel, say you’re using Muffin Builder, you need to click the Builder >> SEO besides the Visual and Text tab. This will copy all the texts from and scraping off the muffin codes and pasting it to the Content Editor of WordPress. This will enable Yoast to detect the content and score it.

    You also need to turn On the “Hide the Content” so you wont be seeing these scraped texts in your homepage.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers!

    This means that it is impossible to use muffin bilder simultaneously visal composer and optimize SEO with Yoast
