SEO Yoast and Google Structured Testing

  • SEO Yoast works great for google plus with the Publisher and authorship fields, but it lacks the “updated” posts/pages requirement. So when you do the google structured data testing tool, it will always say:

    Warning: Missing required field “updated”‘

    this is in WordPress Twenty Eleven theme

    Any way to fix this within SEO yoast?

  • I’m having the same problem. I’ve followed the Yoast WordPress SEO: Social tutorial and still getting data errors like you. Did you get a fix? I’m also using Twenty Eleven.

    Same for me at craftycode

    I am having the same issue with a custom theme.

    This isn’t an issue with the plugin, the messages related to a lack of structured data in your themes.

    The plugin won’t fix that.

    I seem to be having the same problem, only my problem is with:

    Missing: author

    Missing: updated

    I’ve seen several posts regarding this issue but either my code is different from the posts, or the fixed code does not work.

    How can I fix this code in single.php or function.php, not sure.

    I am now closing this 4 month old topic as it references an older version of WordPress.
