    Hello everyone,

So forgive me but I am just now learning the concepts of technical SEO.

When I set up my site I set the Permalink structure to have the date+article name (eg. example.com/2022/07/01/article-name). I hate having the date there now so I’ve been using Pretty Links to redirect with a shortened URL when I post on social media (eg. example.com/article-name).

When I look in Google Search Console I realized that these were nofollow links, so I’ve been going back and unchecking the nofollow box for these links w/ the PL plugin.

My question is does having two separate links to the same page effect SEO? I’ve been told changing the Permalink structure is the WRONG way to go, so I was trying to use this as a sort of workaround.

Also I know I’m on a www.remarpro.com forum but my site is hosted through a dot com Business plan (don’t judge me!).

Having the two links to the same page should not affect your SEO, at least not in a bad way ??

Also, you can turn no follow off by default in Pretty Links->Options->Links, that way you won’t have to remember to turn that option off for each link. (Applies to links created after you turn off the option.)
