SEO Ultimate: Category Pagination Meta Robots

Simply click the > [x] Redirect Requests for Nonexistent Pagination and all subsequent category archives , e.g. /2/3/4/5/ etc. are all 301 redirected to the root archive.

Sorry, I think there is some disconnect, but why would I 301 redirect it when it’s a page that is useful to users?

Page 1 needs to be index,follow
https://www.craftdirect.com/blog/post-type/design-downloads/

Page 2 needs to noindex,follow
https://www.craftdirect.com/blog/post-type/design-downloads/page/2/

Page 3 needs to be noindex,follow
https://www.craftdirect.com/blog/post-type/design-downloads/page/3/

301 redirecting them means users can’t see them. I don’t want that.

There are different schools of thought about pagination and indexation, so, while I understand your query, it’s not necessarily obvious to want to index category archives. However, what you are requesting can be done under the Meta Robot Tags Editor > Categories Tab> Then set the directive there.

Aside from that, if you want to be able to specify which page in the category is either index, follow or noindex, follow, then you will have to customize in your theme.

In which case, don’t select the automate 301 redirects option in Miscellaneous then as it was designed to preserve link flow to the main category and not the paginated term archives.

Thanks. If you guys are open to suggestions, it’d be nice to have a button for this just like you do the home page sub-pages.
