SEO: Title vs Slug

    Hi!

    Short answer. Does the slug affects the SEO, or is it the title? As far as I can see, in WordPress the indicator line grows and changes color when I edit the Title. But I would like to know if the slug also affects, and if it does, how much it is. You see, we need to do a bulk update to get all our posts in green, and for this I am planning to use ChatGPT.

    Now, the solution is quite simple if I only have to update the title, vs updating the title and the slug. Updating the slug will take a lot more work, because I would also have to update the internal links that are in the content.

    If only the title affects the SEO (or if this is what MOST affects the SEO) then the solution is quite more simple.

    Please know that both title and slug are important.

    Writing a good slug for your page or post can positively affect your SEO.?Because the slug is one of the indicators Google uses to determine what a page is about. So if you change your slug, and make sure that it includes words you really want to rank for, try to keep it short and focused.
