  • Hi @lifelightweb!

We tried to reproduce this and published two posts without a custom title. Yoast worked correctly. It outputted the WordPress title as the SEO Title for both. See image: https://ibb.co/4fhC24X.

We would like some more information.

    1. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    2. We also visited https://www.housemorningwood.com/viktos-gunfighter-flannel/ and it appears to have the right title. If you mouse over the tab in the browser the title should appear. Were you able to resolve this?

    3. If you re-save the post/page does the issue resolve?

    4. If you go to SEO-Search Appearance-Content Types and look at Posts. Can you describe or take a screenshot of what is exactly appearing in the SEO Title and Meta description fields? You can use a tool like: https://imgbb.com/ to share the image.

All plugins are up to date, including WordPress. I agree when you actually interrogate the post, the title and descriptions seem correct, the post list view of the admin area of WordPress is where is displays incorrectly. It’s very odd. We only noticed this today.

We are not able to reproduce this issue. If you go to screen options in the top-right and remove SEO Title and Meta Description and save. Then clear all the caching on the site. Then re-enable them does the issue still happen?

We ask as we are thinking it could be some odd caching issue as all the data appears to be population correctly.
