• Hey there,

I am planning to run a single page site that consists of only pictures. There will be one page as I will be using infinite scroll. Do you guys have any tips for the SEO of this site? I would like the results to be focused on two keywords, basically two of my nicknames.

    Thanks.

  • No matter what you do you’ll find it very hard to get good rankings with a single-page site, especially when a lot of the content is done using AJAX (meaning that the search bots can’t see it). To maximise what you can get, you’d need text – there’s no other way around it. It doesn’t need to be too much – around 200-300 words – but you will need it. On top of that you’ll need (a lot of) backlinks from other sites to your site. Just remember to make sure that the backlinks are good quality and not just famred out to every site that you can.

It will be a very hard road for you, but you work really really hard you might get somewhere.

catacaustic pretty much nailed it. Just one more thing. If you want to rank for your nicknames and they are pretty unique, you’re not supposed to have too much competition if any. The other question is if anybody is going to find your site searching for your nicknames. Perhaps, i just got you wrong?
