    Hi.
I’m relatively new to SEO and I have multiple subdomains up to 5, and they’re interrelated.

I was wondering how I’d be able to tell Google that, so that when searching for the business name, all five would pop up in a very arranged and orderly manner as if they are just one.

And if possible, have the search bar shown too… Just like other e-commerce sites.

Would I have to install Rank Math on all the subdomains with the main domain?

Please how do I go about it?

    P.S.: It’s not a multisite

    Hello @allgoodnamesaretaken,

Thank you for contacting the support.

When it comes to subdomains, Google considers them as completely separate domains or websites. Essentially, subdirectories are considered part of the main domain but not the subdomains.

You can have a look at this article for a quick reference:
    https://www.searchenginejournal.com/subdomains-vs-subfolders-seo/239795/

That being said, you can follow some practices that might help the subdomain as well as the main domain for increasing the chances of ranking the content:
    – Interlink the main site and the subdomain whenever relevant.
    – Register both sub-domain and the main domain in Google Search Console.
    – Perform all the best SEO practices on both.

To answer your question regarding installing Rank Math, it is advised to install Rank Math on all subdomains as well as the main domain.

Finally, we would like to mention that it is easier to get SEO benefits from subdirectories to the main domain when compared to subdomains. When looking to get SEO benefits to the main domain, subdirectories are preferred over subdomains.

    Hope that helps.
