    Hi everyone!

How can I set up a differet format for the SEO snippets (so that I choose how it looks when I share one of our posts or pages on Facebook) for each post category, please?

Let’s say for all posts that we categorized as “Quotes” we don’t want the title of the post to be showing when it’s shared on Facebook. Just the URL.

But then for posts that include videos we want the titles to be there.

We know how to do this for each post individually but can we do this setting somehow in bulk (for each post category), without having to go one by one in the edit mode for each post? That would be impossible as we have more than 100 posts already.

    THANK YOU!<3

  • Hi,

It is not possible with Yoast to bulk set Facebook specific titles for your posts/pages. We had a feature request to do this but it was decided we would not implement it. You can view the closed issue here https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/9256.

The only Yoast solution is to manually edit the Facebook titles on each individual post or page.

However, you are welcome to edit the plugin’s code to provide a custom solution. Unfortunately, there’s a difference between the support we can offer and the level of programming needed to change (core) features of our plugin. Since we don’t want to take the risk that we break your website by suggesting incorrect or incomplete code, we cannot advise you on how to make such changes. And even though we cannot be of any assistance, you’re completely free to change anything in the plugin to better suit your needs.

If needed, we highly recommend checking out the Yoast supported partners here:?https://yoast.com/yoast-partners/.?

    Closed. No further concerns.
