SEO Score wreaking havoc
-
This new version of RankMath has created a lot more problems than it has solved.
The most annoying one for me is the SEO score. Here are a few things that I wish would change:
Prior to the update, even if it is not displaying, it’s got an object on the screen that messes with the design of things in Elementor. Completely messing with responsive design. Had to disable it on the page. Had to turn it off on the back end of the page altogether. Not the end of the world.
Since the change, there’s no way to even do that. it’s there or it’s not – globally. So it has to be completely disabled.
if it’s not disabled, it winds up showing up in text in different places, depending on the element in Elementor. I had it wedged between the header and the first section on the home page of a client site right after the update. Caught grief for that. thanks guys.
I’m now sure if this was rushed or whatever but this is certainly not consistent with what’s been turned out in the past. This should be looked at and fixed.
IMO, you’ve got the score on the back end. There’s no reason for it to be on the front end unless you are checking the work of the person that is supposed to be doing the SEO on the site – in which case you can see the score on the page/post list on the back side much easier. The front-end display of the score should be eliminated if you ask me.
